About Juugo
Warning! This section contains spoilers for those not current with the Naruto manga
Juugo's first appearance is in chapter 348, where we full-on encounter his "crazy" side. Normally Juugo is quite laid-back and serious (as the first kanji of his name - 重 "Juu" - suggests), but he periodically goes into fits of rage and uncontrollable violence that completely take over his unwilling human psyche. In this state he kills indiscriminately and with absolutely no remorse, leaving his normal human self left to pick up the pieces and carry the intense emotional baggage.

Kimimaro and Juugo Wanting desperately to never kill again, Juugo at first refuses to leave Orochimaru's North Base (where he was being kept in a holding cell), as he believes without Kimimaro - a fellow test subject and perhaps the closest to a companion Juugo ever came, no one will be able to stop his violent transformations. Sasuke however convinces Juugo to come with him, saying in chapter 352, "Don't worry. I will become your cage. I can stop you." At first Juugo is pessimistic, and would rather die than leave his cell and potentially kill others, but he is definitively persuaded by the new information that Kimimaro in fact died for Sasuke's benefit, and as Juugo believes, now lives on in Sasuke.

Juugo Kimimaro is also the reason Juugo decides to join Team Hebi. And as we've seen since then, Juugo is proving to be a reserved and peaceful man of few words. Ironically, he even seems to have the ability to communicate with animals.

Certainly Juugo's biggest and most dire conflict is his transformations, which through Orochimaru, have also brought hell to other shinobi. Juugo is in fact the source of Orochimaru's cursed seals.
About This Website
This website was opened on June 3, 2007 - not long after Juugo's first appearance in the Naruto manga. The layout features a scan colored by the always lovely Teklatekla, whom I simply can't thank enough. <3 And hey, how about I mention it was colored BEFORE Kishi's official colors for Juugo were revealed, and was exactly accurate?? Really, Teklatekla's amazing. =)

Curse!Juugo on the other hand is a simple vector. A PSD file of it can be found here.

Admittedly, this layout has a strange color scheme. Yet part of me likes it. My reasoning is this: green and red are inversions of one another, which makes sense in context with Juugo: a man constantly at odds with his two polarized selves. And well, same can be said for black and white.
